Waw Al Namus, Volcano, Libya

The magnificent volcano of Waw al Namus in the middle of the Sahara desert in Libya. The volcano is remote, 300km from the nearest town. The lakes in the crater are surrounded by high reeds and black, volcanic sand. It is difficult to visit this part of Libya, travellers need special passes and approved guides.
