Picture of Palazzo Falier, Venice
-- View along the canal Rio dei Santi towards the arched facade of the Palazzo Falier. The palace was admired and sketched by John Ruskin for his 'Stones of Venice' and was at one time the home of a Doge. It is also an inspiration for the home of Conte Orazio Falier, the influential father in-law in Donna Leon's Inspector Brunetti mystery books.
