-- Known to the locals as the MCG. The MCG is the biggest cricket ground in the world. Many sporting events are held here Eg Cricket, AFL football, Rugby, Soccer and many more. Rock concerts have also been held here. U2, The rolling stones, Madonna, Elton john and Billy joel and The Three Tenors plus many more have performed at the MCG. It was the main Stadium for the 1956 Olympics and again in 2006 for the Commonwealth games. It now holds up to 100.000 people.
