-- Hotel Belvedere once used to be the most exclusive place to stay in the area - a five-star cascade building, located on the slope above sea shore, with views of Dubrovnik Old Town and the island of Lokrum. Unfortunately, it is out of use for last 15 years as on 24 October 1991 this hotel has been brutally attacked, and destroyed in a naval bombardment by Serbian military forces.
