-- This memorial opened May 10 2005 and is dedicated to Jewish victims of the Nazi Regime. Designed by New York architect Peter Eisenman, it consists of 2,711 gunmetal grey reinforced concrete columns, each positioned on a uniform grid to form a wave like progression across undulating ground which drops to as much as 2.4m below surrounding street level in places.
