Photo of Enham Alamein Memorial Stone
-- A plaque on the memorial stone in the village of Enham Alamein near Andover in Hampshire. The village housed many soldiers injured in World War I and then, during World War II. The village charity received a significant donation from the Egyptian people after the battle of El Alamein - hence the addition to the village name. This memorial plaque was unveiled in 1947.
