-- Dawn with mist rising from the Roaring Fork. The sun is just beginning to peek thru the trees. This is Jim Bale's Place and typical of 1800's Appalachia. To the top right of the split rail fence is the remains of the rock wall. These structures have been preserved by the N.P. service.
