The first museum in the world to be dedicated to the study of religious art and life, the St. Mungo Museum is located on Castle Street, next to Glasgow Cathedral, and was opened in 1993. Containing works of art depicting the worls six major religions, it is also home to Salvador Dalis work, Christ of St. John of the Cross.
