: Cabo Da Roca, also called Focinho Da Roca (Roca Snout), is the most western point of continental Europe. It lies on the Atlantic coast of Lisboa district, about 40 km distant from Lisbon. Known to the Romans as Promontorium Magnum, the cape is a narrow granite cliff, forming the western end of the Sintra Mountains.
