Read, Write and Edit Image Meta Information!
Many of you were asking how to manage Image Meta Data.
Today I experimented with ExiftoolGui that provides GUI (Graphical User Interface)
for the Phil Harvey ExifTool (Command-Prompt application)
With ExiftoolGui you can:
- view all metadata that ExifTool recognizes,
- edit most frequently used Exif, IPTC and XMP metadata tags
- modify multiple files at the same time.
And the price can't be beat... it's free.
The Author of ExiftoolGui got his inspiration from Phil Harvey's ExifTool:
There are many tools for viewing/editing metadata inside image files. In my opinion, ExifTool by Phil Harvey, is the best I've found so far. Here's why:
-
it shows more metadata tags than any other tool,
- it allows editing almost any metadata tag,
- it is very secure to use,
- it is regulary updated and free, etc. ...
Installation is very simple.
1. Download and unzip the
Phil Harvey ExifTool
2. RENAME!!! rename "exiftool(-k).exe" to "exiftool.exe"
3. Download and unzip the
ExiftoolGui
4. Place both in the same folder.
5. Run ExifToolGui.exe
The Author of the ExiftoolGui has a note in case you can not find ExiftoolGui.zip
Note: If you recommend ExifToolGUI to someone (thanks), then don't make links directly to the zip file,
because I may change the name of the zip file in the future, or reorganize the site -which would lead to broken links.
Please, use my site address, which is:

Here are a few prints to give you an idea about how the ExiftoolGui works.

IPTC tags are provided as is.
