Images of Chinese Culture
In the article "Hot color and background trends for 2008" we started a conversation about what is coming in 2008 in terms of design themes, colors, and backgrounds. The 2008 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, were awarded to Beijing. Interest in this global event could spark a trend in: - Reds and yellows, traditional Chinese colors.
- Chinese motifs that include the dragon, pine trees, tall jagged mountains and birds such as the crane.
- Floral motifs with peonies and chrysanthemums.
- Chinese calligraphy.
Looking forward to this event we will begin to publish several new "Chinese theme" selections of images. |
