| I'm a novice using a Canon Digital Camera. I have a few family members who are professional photographers, but can only hope to achieve that kind of status. I believe in the least possible manipulation of a picture to convey the emotion behind it. I believe it is art based mainly on right timing. I believe it is the abilty to see what passes unnoticed. I believe it is simple appreciation. My favourite pictures to take are of gravestones, or any other kind of gothic style....ravens, leafless trees, gravel paths, wrought iron gates and the like. I love lighthouses and ocean pictures. I really enjoy looking at pictures of people, particularly shots that are really raw with emotion, be it joy, pain, peace, love, sadness. I believe that words can never explain what our eyes help us interpret. |
