1. Which camera(s) do you use?
Sony A100
2. How do you see the technology evolving with digital cameras in the future? Is all that's missing are large(r) resolutions when compared to film cameras, or something else too?
I prefer the instant gratification of the digital media, in addition, the images are much easy to use as the medium leads to being manipulative.
2a. What would you change or add to digital photography in the way of technology? I would like it if there was a way to look at the images, add special effects in greater detail while using the camera before using the computer.
3. We have met two kinds of photographers: the ones that believe that a picture should be "good enough" as shot and others that use filters and image manipulation with Photoshop or some other software to get a better/corrected result. Which group do you believe is "right" in regards to the way a photograph is presented?
There really is no right or wrong. When people get into elitist thinking of "My way is right and all others are wrong", they are limiting themselves to boundaries that need not be followed.
4. Did the introduction of cheap film cameras and nearly cheap digital cameras had a negative business effect to the profession of the professional photographer?
No. I think that it is a jumping point between hobby and fulfilling hobby. Not going to create a photographer where they have no interest.
5. Is your work always for a client, or do you make pictures for your own pleasure? What is the percentage for each?
I take pictures for my pleasure and then determine if there is a client. Sometimes I have a client, but most of the time, it is the joy. I am selling the feeling as well as the image.
6. Do you have a favorite category of photography? (Do you prefer fashion, still life, action or ? - or do you prefer your Computer Effects pictures?) My favorite is nature.
Whether is is plant, mineral, or animal, I feel very connected. Next is architecture. 7. From where do you get your inspiration?
Sometimes, it is from things I have dreamed of or read, but other times, it is simply being there with the camera in hand.
8. Have you been inspired by any particular artist/photographer? I of course love Ansel Adams.
9. Do you have dreams that you would like to realize? Be on all seven continents.
10. How did you get your start in photography?
Digital.
