Photography for me is an outlet to release the monotony of my day job, explore my creativity, and be out in nature. The things I enjoy most about photography are that I gain knowledge of my surroundings, its inhabitants, and the feeling I get when I have a shot that duplicates what my eyes saw. The Florida Everglades is one of Mother Nature’s greatest accomplishments, with it’s abundance of wildlife and extraordinary landscape. Winter in the Everglades is a wonderful time, the birds are coming back, the mosquitos are gone, and the weather is perfect.
I also spend some time in the city, mainly for Night photography. Downtown Miami with the lights and surrounding water makes for a great nightscape. I do occasionally travel outside of Florida to photograph, places such as Death Valley, San Francisco, and The Great Smoky Mountains. Nature and wildlife are my favorite types of photography, but I will photograph just about anything. There is nothing like the peace, tranquility, and excitement of being out in nature, especially in the perfect light.
