My father was a part time 35mm photographer, who had his own darkroom in our home. Vacations with our family was when he worked, so had many years to observe both how he composed his photographs, then manipulated them in the darkroom. A former legal professional, after having three childen and burnout in that profession, and with the advent of digital photography, rediscovered really my first love.
I specialize in landscape and architectural photography, and have had my worked published in the Flaggstaff, Arizona online newspaper, Flagstaff Central. Google the name Linda Gehring or Linda Geist Gehring for examples of some of my shots of my former home state, my favorite for landscape photography due to the beauty of the desert and the disparity between the northern and southern portions of that state. The mountains and canyons take your breath away.
I shoot now almost exclusively with a digital camera, for the immediate feedback it gives, and feel the future in digital photography for the professional photographer is getting better and better. |
