| I use a simple Canon Powershot, small and easy to travel with but great at taking photos. Because it is such a basic digital camera I do not use any filters or special lenses, I like for my photos to be really natural with regards to lighting and shadows or colours. The pictures I take are for my own pleasure and/or to share with family and friends, sometimes blown-up and framed, other times in a collage or album. I take my pictures because for me they are memories and stories of often exotic places. Posed pictures are fun but the better ones are candid because they really reflect life and emotions, especially when done in black and white. I am also really fond of landscape and some architecture. I do not take a picture just to take it, there is always a reason or just something that catches my eye that I want to remember. I have travelled extensively throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Africa and have enjoyed the thousands of pictures I have been able to take. I find that if I try to hard for an image, it does not turn out so I let it speak to me. You can see the results for yourselves! |
