I am a full-time mum of two boys aged 1 and 2. I have been doing photography for around 10 years but only seriously switched to digital photography six months ago. My work centres mostly around animals and general stock images. However recently I have been doing assignments for a few building contractors. My favourite kind of work is definitely photographing peoples pets. There's nothing like seeing the expression on the owner's face when you have transformed their beloved animal into a treasurable keepsake and captured the personality of their companion.
My photographic equipment consists of my Nikon D50, with around six lenses for various situations. I also have a small studio set-up consisting of two studio lights and umbrellas. I believe in doing as little post processing as possible and therefore will generally try my utmost to produce the image as I want it without any digital enhancements.
I see my future as a photographer as one where I can produce images to my best ability, whilst still learning from the fantastic photographers I have come to know in forums and stock sites. Afterall, you cannot expect to improve and learn, without making mistakes and learning from others experience:) |
