I am semi-retired but working with microstock or midstock sites to suppliment my income.
Curently I am using a Nikon D300 and a D70 as my camera bodys. For glass I am using the Sigma 18-50 mm f/2.8 EG and a Tokina Pro 80-200 mm F/2.8 APO ATX and a 1.4X TC.
At present I am primarily drawn to Nature, Cityscapes, Object - Isolated, some Wildlife and Birds, and of course Landscapes. I prefer not to work with models due to the hassel of securing a Model Release. That of course severely limits a photographer's potential in the Microstock Business. That is no real problem, because I already have a good income, and I enjoy what I do.
So what I like least about being a photographer is dealing with people, but the upside is I shoot what I enjoy and make a little extra on the side.
Actually, the extra income I earn this way serves to provide me some funds to give to Charity and to help out our church. |
