I currently own a Cannon 400D which has brought a new sense of creativity and productivity to my life.

A DSLR is a wonderful means to learn using a camera. You can experiment as much as you want and see the results immediately. You can learn what works and what doesn't. How to frame the shot and bring about the most interesting visuals from ordinary life.

I do not like to use filters, fisheye lens, or special effects to bring about a picture. I strive to bring out the natural beauty that is there without the use of such tools. Perhaps at a later date when I wish to try another creative outlet but right now I am enjoying just simply taking pictures.

It seems my hunger for traveling has grown more with my new camera. More so than with my HD camcorder which I love to use as well.

I have recently switched my Canon XTI for a Nikon D80. While the Canon XTI was wonderful, I had an opportunity to play with the Nikon D80 and felt more comfortable holding a D80.
