Penny and Paul met in 1985 in Wimbledon, London, England. We both were watching the tennis. Penny was from England and I was the American. After returning back to Michigan I invited Penny over. After our relationship developed I decided to sell my home and resign from my job. Penny and I left Michigan in January 1986 and after meeting her parents and spending time with her family, Penny and I took off on an 18 month world backpack trip around the world visiting India for six weeks, Thailand for two months, Burma for one week, Singapore for seven days, Malaysia for seven days, Philippines for five weeks, Indonesia for four weeks, Australia for six months, New Zealand for three months and Tahiti for five days. After landing in LA we bought a car and traveled across America and then back to England in the summer of 1987.
Penny and I were married in September 1987 and had two daughters.
We traveled to Turkey and Egypt during our work holidays, and traveled and camped around Europe with our daughters.
In November 2004 we decided to move to Michigan and moved into our new home. But in February 2005 Penny had a grand mal seizure and passed away from brain cancer in August 2005.
Our pictures are from our travels and are in memory of my lovely English wife and beautiful mother.
