Yesterday I was lucky to shoot several dozen rolls of film a year. Today, in less than a year, I have taken nearly 4000 pictures!
I am so fortunate to be situated in SW OR with work as a forest lookout that allows me to pursue my photographic interests.
I have had a camera in my hands since grade school and have been interested in capturing the beauty of natural light ever since. I still have my Olympus 4Ti system but my introduction to digital photography has been my Canon Powershot A710 IS. I love using this compact image-stabilized camera because I can now capture images that would have eluded me with a film-based camera.
I anticipate photo equipment becoming ever more technologically impressive but acquiring or creating a great image will always begin with the photographer's response to the world around her or him. |
