This will be expanded soon, but here's a bit of info until then:
I live, for the moment, in Halifax, Nova Scotia--it's a new place for me and has inspired me to pick up a camera and for some reason I can't put it down now! I'm mostly into the visual arts and drawing has been my main thing, until now. These days I find myself impatient with the pencil when I know the camera is always ready to fulfill my visual demands--then again, I've always been impatient when drawing, so perhaps photography is my medium.
As far as technical details go: I take the majority of my photos with a point and shoot Fuji Film FinePix A210 digital camera, although I hope to add more cameras to the list, along the traditional lines (analog) soon; I generally keep my image manipulation to a minimum, as I am currently trying to develop my skills for taking good photos on the spot, however I'm not afraid to go full force in image manipulation if I feel the subject demands it, usually for creative purposes.
A little note: right now my biggest challenge in photography is to take photos of nature in which I can convey how it really was being there. |
