I am James F. Lassiter II, someone that absolutely loves photography. Lucky me, on a daily basis I have the opportunity to capture beautiful NW images while I parent my three young children... That's right, I am a stay at home parent.
In the day to day, as I care for my kids I have my Bronica ETRS is in hand... My wife loves it, as I have the chance to photograph our children's childhoods and everything in between.
Growing up my influences were first in my own family. My aunt, Karen Lawrence, a published wildlife photographer. Throughout my life she has discussed her trade with me and provided me with honest and critical critique of my work. In turn, my great love for Ansel Adams and Art Wolfe began when I was very young and today their work still provides insight and inspiration to me. And there are countless others that contribute to my thinking of how to make the next captured image even better.
Loving photography feeds my soul... And, as I am a very simple kind of guy, one that strives to be better every day I hope for honest and sincere feedback on my work.
Where I live, alone is a gold mine of images for the taking... Daily, I can find something new and exciting as my muse. And all the while, I am able to be my kid's dad.
